State Coronial Services Centre
VCA are currently undertaking the redevelopment works to the State Coronial Services Centre which will include additional staff accommodation and conference rooms, upgrade to Coroners’ Court rooms and storage areas, services upgrade and replacement, upgrade to public areas and reconfiguration of car park and front reception entry. The redevelopment of the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine will include upgrade to mortuary including upgrade to general specialist autopsy facilities, upgrade of change rooms, expansion of the DTBV, provision of additional staff accommodation, upgrades to laboratories and upgrade specimen and diagnostic report storage.
Good design and early consideration of ESD issues will ensure that energy consumption and recurrent energy costs will be kept to a minimum. This project is due to be completed in 2014 with minimum disruption to the operational effectiveness of the organisations with an end solution to position the facility for the next twenty years.
